What can we say about God Save the Wine event in Florence two days ago? Absolutely spectacular. The terrace in the centre of Florence, the beautiful cathedral in the background and the wine enjoyed in the company made the night unforgettable for us at Casa Lucii.

It was the first time that Casa Lucii participated in a God Save The Wine event. When it was proposed to us we already imagined it could be a good event and we immediately accepted. However, once we arrived on site the location really left us speechless. From B-roof of the Grand Hotel Baglioni we could admire the cathedral, "Palazzo Vecchio" along with the entire skyline of downtown Florence. Really magnificent.
We arrived a little before the guests to enjoy the view and take some pictures of the bottles. Due to the particular situation the guests were only a third of the other years but this also allowed us to move more easily between the terraces and tables of the companies.

Given the great summer heat, we preferred to concentrate on our Vernaccia di San Gimignano e rose wine, leaving aside the reds. During the evening, the wines that impressed the most were undoubtedly the reserves of Vernaccia di San Gimignano Mareterra, the sulphite-free wine Purus and our Vinsanto Curato 2013 bottled just a week ago.
In conclusion, we really enjoyed the God save the wine event in florence both the organization and the location. If you were able to come we are waiting for you at our estate for a guided tour and a full wine tasting!
